Reflection:

For our final, we worked in groups to take black and white pictures of ten still-life things and five portraits of our classmates. Taking pictures for the final was fun and easy; the hard thing was choosing from the many pictures that we took and seeing which one we wanted to post on the blog. It was fun because in the still-life pictures, we got to arrange the objects in any way we wanted. All of the pictures that we took are each unique and look special in their own way. When you see each portrait, there might be a hidden story behind the picture or maybe not. When you see each still-life picture, each object in the picture was carefully placed to make the imagine look attractive and appealing or the way each picture was taken also fulfilled this purpose.

Abstraction Examples

Example 5

Reflection:

Finding examples for abstraction was very challenging. One reason was because it was hard to tell if the picture you took looked abstract. But, I managed to find pictures that I am pretty sure look mostly abstract. Even though most of the pictures are brown and green, I think you can tell that these examples are abstract. All of these examples were found around the campus.

Reflection:

Finding examples of analogous colors was also very challenging. It was challenging because I didn’t know what to do. But, when I did find out what to do, it was still challenging. I mean, how can you find pictures that have colors that are next to the color wheel in varying shades? It’s super difficult I tell you; I was surprised that I actually managed to find five examples of this.

Monochromatic Examples

Example 5

Reflection:

Finding examples of monochromatic things was difficult. I had a hard time trying to figure out what looked monochromatic and what didn’t. So, I apologize if these pictures aren’t monochromatic, but I tried my best. In my opinion, these examples look monochromatic because they are in varying shades of browns and greens. But, then again we never really learned about this, just covered the basics, so we knew what to take a picture of.

Rule of Thirds Examples

Reflection:

Finding examples of rule of thirds was hard at first because I didn’t know how to do it. But later on I found out what to do and it turned out to be super easy. All we had to do was find a picture and split it into thirds and two-thirds of it had to be filled up with two different images, while one-third of it had to be blank. I would like to thank my fellow classmates for letting me use them for these examples. All of these pictures were taken on the bridge and in the soccer field around our school campus.

Close Up Examples

Example 5

Reflection:

Finding examples of close ups was also very easy. The only challenge I had was because of the camera. Every time I would take a picture of something up close, it would come out all blurry and weird looking, but then again I was using an iPod. So, I apologize for the blurry pictures but, I tried my best to find good pictures. Other than that, finding what to take a close up of was also a challenge.

Bugs Eye View Examples

Example 5

Reflection:

Finding examples of bugs eye view was very easy. It was only easy because you could take a picture of anything. The only thing you needed to do to make it bugs eye view was to point the camera up and take the picture basically upside down and make everything in the picture look super huge. So basically we had to take pictures of what things would look like from a bug’s perceptive. All of these pictures were taken around the campus on the bridge and in the soccer field.
